In the heart of East Portland, the Laurelhurst neighborhood
is home to Laurelhurst Park and over 1800 households.
Come learn about possible changes coming to housing in the Inner Eastside (yes, Laurelhurst).
Guest speaker: Bill Cunningham, a City Planner with the Portland Bureau of Planning and Sustainability,
will join us to discuss the Inner Eastside Zoning Project, a city initiative to encourage greater housing
supply in the Inner Eastside. The initiative looks to expand beyond single-dwelling zoning and allow more
housing types, including small apartment buildings. Laurelhurst falls within the study area, and while
specific zoning changes are still being developed, this is a chance to learn more and ask questions directly.
You can also read more about the Inner Eastside Zoning Project in the September Newsletter, pg. 4.
