Upcoming Events in Laurelhurst

• District 3 City Council Candidate Forum: Thursday, Sept. 24, 6:30pm, The Laurelhurst Club, 3721 SE Ankeny St
This November, three seats on Portland’s City Council are up for election in our district, and it’s a real chance to shape who represents us, and impact the dynamics of City Council. Instead of a debate or stage event, we’re doing something more personal: candidates will rotate through tables where you’re seated, so you get real, one-on-one conversations rather than rehearsed speeches.
Event is free but registration is required because of capacity of the Laurelhurst Club building. RSVP today.

• District 3 Councilor Walk, Laurelhurst Park, Sept 25th, 12pm
The organization, Oregon Walks, is hosting a walk with District 3 City Councilors Angelita Morillo, Tiffany Koyama Lane and Steve Novick. Meet city councilors and join for a slow paced walk around the park (~1.5 miles). RSVP’s are appreciated to plan for beverages and snacks. Send an email to info@oregonwalks.org, to say you are coming.

• Grand Opening: The Studio in Laurelhurst Park: Saturday, Sept. 26th, 11am – 3pm, Laurelhurst Park
The team at Sellwood Community House (SCH) invites you to please Save the Date for the Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening of The Studio at Laurelhurst Park!   Meet our staff, learn about fall programming, find out how you can get involved, share your ideas, become a supporter, and celebrate the revival of this historic community space!
